HOME WHAT IS THE PAUL PROJECT THE LAST REFORMATION GET INVOLVED MATTHEW LUNCH ISRAEL SUPPORT GOD'S PROMISES CONTACT

Arab-Israeli newscaster Lucy Aharish, reacting to the news of the horrific chemical weapons attack in Syria, slammed the Arab leadership over its failure to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

(Her first sentence is in Hebrew but she immediately switches to English.)

HOW LONG ARE WE, AS ‘CHRISTIANS’,
GOING TO LIVE APART FROM CHRIST?

The sad part is the way Lucy feels - and who can blame her? I too, if I were in her shoes, would find it hard to believe that our God is the God of all gods. I too would be inclined to believe that there is no God - or that, as she says, He has forgotten His people or turned His back on them. Fortunately we know that this is NOT the truth, but what do we go about it?

Do we continue to argue and bicker among ourselves, fighting over petty issues, being servants to Satan (because the more we fight over these petty issues, the more our focus is taken off of Jesus) or do we stop and think, regroup and decide to get along with each other, no matter what that takes?

Jesus spoke so much about unity and yet there is so little on this planet - particularly in the churches and their congregations. We understand that Satan has left this world in such a mess that no one man, nor any groups of men (or women), could ever sort this out. We gave up our rights to 'sorting things out' when we gave our lives over to Jesus Christ.

But that doesn't mean we cannot change our ways and at least TRY to get along with each other.

Just imagine how power-filled the church (that's YOU and ME if you are a born-again, blood soaked, Holy Spirit filled believer) would be if we all got along, if we all walked in the Spirit, by FAITH and NOT by SIGHT. If we all died to ourselves and let Christ live in us...

Please can't we just try?
