ONE CHURCH

United we stand, divided we fall - Aesop

That phrase has been accredited to many different people down the centuries. It’s been accredited to Sir Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jnr and even to Margaret Thatcher - yet it truly originated as far back as an unknown Greek slave who became a philosopher. A chap known only by his first name - Aesop. Pronounced Air-Sop. Tradition has him as a strikingly ugly slave who by his cleverness acquires freedom and becomes an adviser to kings and city-states (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aesop).

I don’t think it is anywhere better suited today than to the churches around this planet, starting right here in Port Elizabeth. We were originally instructed to have dominion over the earth, but we have instead let the god of this world, Satan, dominate us to the point of where we, as God’s creation, are in a mess that no man could ever get us out of…

Imagine how much we could do for the City of Port Elizabeth if the churches could work together not on just ONE project, but constantly… sharing resources… putting the LORD first instead of last… indeed being ONE body of Christ instead of several individual Bodies of Christ…

If you are not scared to share your opinion of this, please let the world know what you think here…
